Community Links

We pride ourselves on being a visible presence in the community.  The children raise money for lots of local projects that take place and support those who are most vulnerable. We are also keen to participate in local events both social and sporting to provide a holistic community experience.

 Bishop Wheeler Catholic Academy Trust

As part of of the BWCAT, we work with 16 other primary schools to deliver opportunities to our children such as sporting event, but we also enable the children to raise money for projects such as Mary's Meals and the Bambisanani Partnership - where children compete in sporting events against children South Africa.

Community Based Projects

The children at Christmas time visit our local nursing and care homes to sing Christmas Carols and provide them with Christmas cards - an opportunity to spread the season of good will.  We have also raised money for charities such as Simon on the Street and the food bank. This year, our Mini Vinnies, visited the local Asda to purchase the food needed to make the donation and were stopped by a member of the public who said:

You children may have only spent 20 minutes here today, but you may have had an impact on a families week - well done!
